Ealing Studios is the leading independent British studio that produces and distributes feature films, and provides facilities to the media and production industry.

Ealing Studios is the oldest continuously operating film studio in the world, and in 107 years has produced films ranging from the first screen version of Hamlet in 1912, through the 1940’s and 1950’s classics, THE LADYKILLERS, THE LAVENDER HILL MOB, PASSPORT TO PIMLICO, and KIND HEARTS AND CORONETS.

Ealing’s more recent production credits, include the ST TRINIAN’S 1 & 2, DORIAN GRAY, EASY VIRTUE, VALIANT and THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

Recent films shooting at the studio have included: ALICE AND WONDERLAND, PRINCE OF PERSIA, NOWHERE BOY and Gurinder Chadha’s IT’S A WONDERFUL AFTERLIFE.

In April 2000 the Studio brand, facilities and operations were acquired by a consortium including the principals of Fragile Films, Barnaby Thompson and Uri Fruchtmann, and Harry Handelsman of Manhattan Loft Corporation. They established two companies which work together: Ealing Studios Operations, which owns the studio facilities business, and Ealing Studios Enterprises, the film production and distribution business.

In 2003, Ealing Studios acquired Fragile Films, with Barnaby Thompson taking the role of Head of Studio and James Spring becoming Managing Director. Fragile Films is one of UK’s leading production companies with a consistent track-record of developing commercial British feature films with international appeal. Ealing and Fragile have to date produced five of the top twenty highest grossing UK independent feature films.

Ealing Studios launched Ealing Studios International in 2006 as the sales arm of the Studios. Ealing Studios International is an integral part of the studio framework, providing input and support from the earliest stages of development, though production and distribution of its films.

Ealing Studios are currently in post- production on BURKE & HARE, starring Simon Pegg, Andy Serkis, Isla Fisher and Tom Wilkinson, directed by John Landis (BLUES BROTHERS, AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON) and plans to shoot ST TRINIAN’S 3 (directed by Oliver Parker and Barnaby Thompson) and WHAT THE PUCK (directed by Peter Cattaneo, THE FULL MONTY) in 2010.
